Q: How do I book ‘with love and wild’? How far in advanced should I book?
A: Call or email me! As soon as I hear from you, I save the date of your big day. I choose to do a limited number of weddings per year with the belief in quality over quantity. For all other sessions, we work with our schedules to find the perfect day. I do my best to avoid booking sessions during the holidays, unless absolutely necessary.
Q: Where do you shoot?
A: I am based out of Kingston, Ontario but I go where you go.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: I am always open and excited to take on the weather — if you’re up for forging ahead, then so am I. If you would rather sunshine for your session, I will reschedule in a timely manner at no extra charge.
Q: Do we receive digital images and how do we get them? How many do we get?
A: I want the same thing you want when it comes to your images and I want it to be straight forward. You will get the digital images with upfront cost and you will get printing rights, since after all, these are your photos. I want you to have the digital copies to store on your own devices, share with family and friends, and to keep forever.
For weddings, I shoot as many photos as I can throughout the day, then I spend a lot of time editing those down to the best ones. I deliver between 300-600 images via an online gallery. You get to keep these forever. You’ll get them about 6-8 weeks after the event.
For all other lifestyle sessions (excluding minis), the average number of images ranges from 40-50 depending on the length of time spent together and locations. Mini sessions are a guaranteed 20 images.
FAQ [Weddings]
Q: If I am booking a wedding with you, do I need engagement photos?
A: An engagement session gives us a chance to grow our relationship, break the ice, and get to know one another. It’s a great way to get a feel for the camera so you’re entirely comfortable by the time the big day rolls around. I always recommend one, but the choice is entirely yours.
Q: What is a “first look”? Should we do one?
A: First looks give the both of you a chance to calm butterflies before the ceremony and it’s a stellar photo opportunity. Straying from traditional beliefs, this “first look” allows the two of you to share time together before the big moment– and who doesn’t love a secret rendezvous?
Q: How do I order albums/prints?
A: Facebook/Instagram is an easy way to share your images, but there is something to be said for a real album. I believe in giving you tangible pieces that are classic and elegant. If this interests you, be sure to ask for more details on a custom wedding album. Your digital gallery is equipped with printing rights for you to pick and choose the prints you want, as many as you want.
